CoachGVD is a personal AI assistant that creates Google Calendar
events from email messages, uploaded screenshots and chat requests and
checks existing calendar events for scheduling conflicts. Users can
separately connect Google Health to compare daily total calories burned
with calories recorded in the user's own food log.
Why CoachGVD requests Google Health data
Google Health access is optional and requested per feature. A dedicated
read-only permission lets CoachGVD read aggregated daily total calories burned,
including resting and active calories, to display a private energy
balance chart alongside the user's own food log on the Health page.
These daily totals are stored securely in the user's private Coach
history so earlier values remain available. A separate minimal write-only
permission can be enabled to send weight and body-fat measurements entered
directly by the user, plus weight and derived body-fat measurements received
from the user's Home Assistant scale, to Google Health. Coach can update or
delete only those identifiable measurement points it created itself.
What CoachGVD does
Users can ask CoachGVD to find appointment details in their own
email, extract appointment details from an uploaded screenshot or use
details written directly in chat. CoachGVD then prepares a new
Google Calendar event for that user.
Why CoachGVD requests Google Calendar data
When a user explicitly asks, CoachGVD reads existing Google
Calendar events only to detect scheduling conflicts, creates a new
event only for that request and can change one revalidated event's
title, description, date, time, location or displayed color when the
user explicitly asks. CoachGVD does not change participants or
attendance and does not delete events.
Privacy
Google Calendar and Google Health data are used only to provide the
user-requested features described above. They are not sold, used for
advertising or used to train general-purpose AI models. Stored health
history is deleted with the user's Coach account.
